MOBILIZING SMALL GROUPS TO REACH OUT
Everybody needs a place to start - for small group outreaches it's the blitz. These projects are designed to touch a lot of people in a short time. They're a great way to involve numbers of team members together in reaching out in simple, yet meaningful ways. Blitzing projects are great for the following: Getting your people involved with an action orientation. Doing something that doesn't take a long time to pull off.

A LITTLE HINTING AROUND CAN OPEN DOORS
I've found that with many people subtle hints often lead to evangelistic conversations sooner than just "living the life" and building a relationship. The hints can come in several categories: probing, subtle and straightforward. . . . "Feeling out" a person with little hints is, I think, a great way to open a door for Christ. It's tactful and friendly, and it gets the job done without alienating anyone.

** CHURCH PLANTING **
LESSONS FROM A YOUTH PASTOR IN A CHURCH PLANT
In planting a church, one thing I am sure we have all learned is that we HAVE to be flexible. We have to bend without breaking, adapt to change, and be teachable.

THE CALL TO START A NEW CHURCH
The sad reality is that the majority of church starts fail within the first year. The main reason this happens is a lack of clear calling by the church starter. A clear calling to start a church is the most important ingredient in the planting of any new church . . .
You should take time to clarify your calling in order to enable confident leadership. This call to start a new church is very different from the call to pastor an existing church or work with youth or work in a ministry-related organization.

** MARKETING **
TEN QUESTIONS WITH SETH GODIN
Great marketing is storytelling, and if you've been to a Broadway show lately, you'll notice that audience participation is discouraged. That doesn't mean that great playwrights don't listen! They do. They, like great marketers, listen relentlessly. They engage in offline conversations constantly. They poll and they do censuses and most important, they have true conversations with small groups of real people. But THEN, they tell a story.

** LEADERSHIP **
THE LEADERSHIP SECRETS OF BILLY GRAHAM
How can we as ordinary leaders deal with the heat we feel and rise to challenges greater than our capacities? Despite the worst, a leader must personify hope for the best. "I've read the last page of the Bible. It's going to turn out all right." - Billy Graham

DISCIPLING THE WHINER
As a leader, your goal is to turn Charlie Whiner around. I've found that most difficult personalities weren't so difficult once I faced them. It's possible that Charlie's criticism is stemming from another issue. By confronting him about his critical attitude and listening to him, you should be able to find out what the source of the problem really is.
